Here I’ll tell you more about me, and why you should hire me to create and manage a customized Social Media Marketing effort for your business that builds conversations, relationships, brand awareness, and customers.

I have 27 years of successful management, marketing, and sales experience, both in owning my own businesses and as a valued and loyal employee in the financial, service, and engineering sectors. My Linkedin profile gives an overview of my specific experience, which lends itself well to a rapidly changing field that requires quick learning, creative thinking, organization, and a love of communication in all its forms, and with all its inherent challenges.

Why did I enter this particular field? In 2009, I was laid off from a marketing position due to the downturn in the economy. Marketing comes naturally to me, and I participated enthusiastically in the the rise of Social Media Marketing as a great way to reach large and diverse audiences in a meaningful way. I noticed businesses venturing into the space to talk with their customers; while marketing myself for employment, I saw that businesses need Social Media Marketing Strategies to reach their target markets. After working with a local marketing firm to create, launch, and manage a successful social media marketing presence for a local nonprofit – and loving every second of it – I knew I wanted to start my own firm and chart my own course. Timing is indeed everything; making the leap into entrepreneurship in late 2009 is the best and most gratifying professional decision I have ever made!

Finally, when I’m not serving my clients, I enjoy a busy life as a Group Fitness Coach (nice to have a paying, healthy hobby!) and spending time with my husband, Dave, and two teenagers. I have lived in Charleston all my life. With such deep ties to the community, I also love building relationships through my memberships with the Center for Women, Lowcountry Local First,  Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, West Ashley Referrals, my church, and children’s schools.
